Home > SUBSTANTIVE LAW OF THE EU – THE 4 FREEDOMS
The course aims to offer the students analytic and detailed knowledge of the EU internal market from its creation and its freedoms. The course is designed for master students with basic knowledge of the EU institutional and constitutional structure. The framework of the course intends to increase the knowledge of the students concerning the four freedoms, primarily in respect of the rules that regulate movement within the Member States of the EU. To a lesser extent, knowledge will also be provided concerning the rules that regulate movement outside the EU. In particular, an understanding of the principles underpinning the four freedoms can be used as a guide to students wishing to explore particular areas of EU substantive law more closely.
