The presentation offered a first analysis of the progress reports and the screening report within Albania’s integration processes in the EU.

Prof. Gjeta presented part of the scientific research as an activity of the Jean Monnet Chair EEAABAC. This presentation was held during the proceedings of the VII International Congress on Afro-Eurasian Research, Tirana, Albania. The presentation offered a comparative analysis between the integration processes of Albania and Turkey in the EU. Also, a clear analysis of the latest developments of the two states in their journey in negotiations with the EU was provided.

Prof. Gjeta presented part of his research work carried out in the framework of scientific research as an activity of the Jean Monnet Chair EEAABAC. This presentation was given during the proceedings of the Maritime And Transport Law Colloquium Transport Law De Lege Ferenda 2022, Dubrovnik, Croatia. The presentation focused on recent developments in transport law in Albania based on the needs of the EU integration process.

Prof. Gjeta held two lectures with students of the University of Trento during his period as Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Law. During this period, Prof. Gjeta carried out in-depth research on European law, focusing mainly on legislation on migration in the EU.
The topics of the lectures reflect his research at this university and are current topics to be addressed in light of recent developments regarding irregular migration and asylum seekers in the Mediterranean area.

The head of the Jean Monnet EEAABAC Chair participated in the activity organised by the University of Elbasan Erasmus Days. In his presentation, prof. Gjeta presented the activities of the Jean Monnet Chair and gave a short presentation on Jean Monnet Action within the framework of Erasmus and how to apply to be successful.
At the end of the presentation, there was a discussion with the attendees regarding the application method, the difficulties during the implementation phase and the problems that the pandemic is causing in the implementation of the project in the EU.

The head of the Jean Monnet EEAABAC Chair was invited to the morning show on SKAMPA TV, where he spoke about current issues related to European integration, the opening of negotiations between Albania and North Macedonia and Albania’s challenges in this journey.
In the end, there was a promotion of the Jean Monnet Chair, which is coming to the University of Elbasan for the first time, and emphasis was placed on the chair’s future activities.

This presentation was held during the proceedings of the International Conference: The Impact Of The Definition Of Marriage On The Legal Solutions Applied In Poland And Selected Member States, Lublin, April 27-28, 2023. The presentation focused on developments in family law in Albania, especially the concept of marriage. An important part of the statement was the emphasis on the needs of the EU integration process and how this can impact the notion of marriage in Albanian legislation.
